Pharmacor to embrace all of Russia
The pharmacy chain Pharmacor announced that in 2007 it is to focus on expanding in the provinces. At the beginning of this year new Pharmacor outlets opened in six regional centres: Syktyvkar, Lipetsk, Kirov, Oryol, Rostov-on-Don and Perm. In H1 2007 the company intends to enter the Smolensk, Kursk, Briansk and Voronezh provinces, as well as Chuvashia and Bashkortostan.
Along with expansion in the regions, the company will also continue developing the chain in St. Petersburg and wants to open at least 20 pharmacies there.
Overall, in 2007 Pharamacor is planning to launch some 100 new pharmacies. As a result, by the end of 2007 the company’s store count is to exceed 300 outlets, and it will be present in all the Russian provinces.
In addition, the company has chosen a name and image for its new logo: a smiling red figure, to be called Farmakorsha, with a bandaged finger and a big letter ‘F’ on his chest. Pharmacor decided to introduce the new logo at the beginning of 2007 in order to strengthen its brand identity.
