Pharmacy Chain 36.6 posts January-September sales
Aggregated sales of Pharmacy Chain 36.6 surged 58 percent to $330m in the first none months of 2006 compared with the same period in 2005, the company reported. The chain's net debt totaled $183m.
Retails sales soared 78.7 percent to $252.5m in the first nine months, and 93.7 percent to $94.5m in Q3 2006 against the same period in 2005 (or 10.7 percent against Q2 2006). The sales growth rate in drugstores purchased before October 1, 2005 stood at 19.8 percent. In the first nine months, 43.2m purchases were made in the chain's outlets, 78.9 percent more than a year earlier.
As of September 30, 2005, Pharmacy Chain 36.6 boasted 757 drugstores in 70 towns and cities in 23 regions of Russia. In Q3 2006, 18 news drugstores were opened and 22 more re-branded.
Pharmacy Chain 36.6 OJSC will release its January-September consolidated financial results under IFRS on November 23, the Company says.
The release of financial results of the Chain's subsidiary - Veropharm OJSC - is scheduled for November 22.
Pharmacy Chain 36.6 was founded in July of 2002. It is one of the leading Russian producers and retailers of pharmaceutical preparations and drugs. As of September 30, 2006, the Company numbered 757 drugstores in 70 towns of 23 Russian regions.
